Back in the conversation! I have been conducting teacher institutes in 21st Century Literacies for the past four weeks. I have made the Influencer a part of our mission and discussion.
It has been amazing to see how what an impact it has made. The conversations have changed from what we cannot control to what we WILL influence.

We are influcencers!
I can influence:
The way I talk to/with my students
The nature of the dialogue in my classroom
The relationships that I build
The way I handle negative colleagues
How I spend my time with kids
The texts that I select to demonstrate
What I ask students to practice
How I respond and react to my students answers or contributions
How I engage parents
How I communicate my values to students through my assignments and lessons
What I choose to put up on the walls of my classroom
The lists went on and on throughout the week. It was amazing to see it grow and develop and to witness the sense of ownership and teacher confidence that came about.
